SunPower sells its second solar power plant in Italy

The sale has been made to Allianz Renewable Energy Partners IV.

The solar power plant, located in Anguillara, Italy, was designed and built by SunPower, which will provide ongoing operations and maintenance services for the new owner.

SunPower chief financial officer Dennis Arriola said: “The finalised sale of the Solare Roma power plant, along with our recently announced Montalto di Castro 44 MW solar park, completes our 2010 plan to develop, construct and monetise 85 MW of projects in Italy.

“We’re pleased with our accomplishments this year and are well positioned to continue our success in 2011.”

SunPower is a designer and manufacturer of solar electric systems based in the US.
