  Solar pv - wragby, lincoln the roof-mounted solar pv system has been installed using 16 sharp 250w solar panels. the size of the system is 4.00 kwp, generating an annual 3,434 kw of solar generated power and also a reduction of 1.8 tonnes of co2 emissions.

  Solar pv - skellingthorpe, lincoln the majority of roof areas in the uk are hipped, which means they have irregular faces. this can make it difficult to fill all of the available space on the roof with solar pv modules. after our survey of the house, we could only install 2.5kw using traditional rectangular panels, so it was agreed to utilise the space at the end of each row with trienergia panels. uk alternative energy installed a 3kw split system on the front roof and on the rear along with an immersun to utilise unused electric to heat jim’s water. jim was very happy at how well the panels blended in to the existing structure. we also used solaredge power optimisers to maximise energy from each panel through constant tracking of maximum power point per panel. optimal efficiency is achieved by automatically maintaining a fixed string voltage and performance can be monitored via the solaredge monitoring portal. these optimisers will provide up to 25% more energy. this split system will save jim £150 a year on electricity as well as generate £335 through the government fit and export within it’s first year*. * financial return calculated on tariff for installations before 1st july 2015

  Solar pv commercial - call centre communications, lincoln "i selected uk alternative energy for a couple of reasons: 1) information. when i called the first time they were very informative, they were not trying to baffle me with jargon or give me unrealistic expectations on roi. i was then able to ask better questions to other companies who struggled to give me good answers. 2) pricing. very competitive on pricing and with recognised brands in the field. 3) local. i wanted to keep it local so as to benefit the area. the installation went very smoothly. i had plenty of details with regard to the scaffolding, and was able to gain permission from neighbouring businesses to use their land. the timescales were kept to as well. the panels were up in 2 days and working, again according to the schedule. even with the sun low in the sky the system is generating a healthy amount. i can only see this getting better as the sun climbs during spring. i would recommend uk alternative energy to others, they are approachable, have good knowledge of their industry and are confident in their products so that they do not have to resort to using confusing terminology and maths to sell them. they were within their timescale for installation, even organising the epc inspection and i was not aware of any issues that could’ve held them up. i was kept informed throughout the installation, and the result was a very stress free install. i even had to show photos of the finished work to prove that it had been completed as quickly as it had been."

  Solar pv - farm lincolnshire arable farmer leonard morris has fields of green in more ways than one. white house farm is currently growing first and second winter wheat, along with winter oilseed rape. utilising a modest ¼ acre of farm land which would otherwise produce £500 of crop per annum, leonard has put the land to even more profitable use by installing a solar pv system. the installation the new ground-mounted system has been installed using 204 schott 240w solar panels in a configuration of 3 rows, each with 64 panels. the size of the system is 48.96 kwp, generating an annual 42,027 kw of solar generated power and also an impressive reduction of 22.2 tonnes of co2 emissions.
