A Merseyside school has refused a request to prevent a solar panel obstruction
A Merseyside duos request to trim trees which obstruct their newly installed solar panels has been denied.
Brothers Steve and Derek Cross, of Cable Street, Formby, installed £14,000 worth of solar panels on their roof back in November. However, their new system may not be operating at its full capacity as a result of over-shadowing trees at a nearby school.
The eco-friendly pair recently appealed to Freshfield Primary School to reduce the growth of the Chestnut trees by three feet. However, the request was denied by the school’s governors.
The brothers, who invested in the solar panels at the request of their father, said they were trying to make the area greener place to live.
