Design & installation of â€˜in-roofâ€™ mounted solar pv panels to property in derbyshire conservation area in early june 2011 we were proud to complete an installation to a property that was different to most, and in more way than one. firstly, the property is situated in a beautiful conservation area in rural derbyshire, and secondly because of how the location effected how we went about the design and implementation of the photovoltaic system to the roof of the property. the stone built period property is situated in the picturesque village of curbar and is home to mr & mrs gorvett, who are a retired couple. mr gorvett got in touch with us after looking for reputable solar pv companies with experience of installations to similar rural properties, such as barn and stable conversions. following our free consultation and survey of their lovely home we were able to help the gorvett's truly make sense of solar and provide a predicted payback period based on our competitive estimate which detailed how the solar feed in tariff would play a part in the rapid return on their investment - and more! as soon as we were given the â€˜green light' on the project it was down to the navitas technicians to work within the restrictions of the conservation guidelines set out by the local authority, and design a solar pv system that was sympathetic to not only the property, but the surrounding area as well. to achieve this the design team had to take into consideration the layout of the velux windows and sky lights already in the roof of the property. therefore, we designed a system that was in perfect symmetry and complementary to the elements situated on the different areas of the roof. essentially the pv panels work with the windows in a side-by-side concept. once the layout was agreed and approved, the next step was to ensure the solar panels were installed and mounted as an â€˜in-roof' system. this was another stipulation in the conservation guidelines of the local authority we had to adhere to. this ensured the panels would be flush to the roof to give the impression of a seamless, or even smooth appearance. despite the specialist nature of the project and the restrictions we had to work within, the entire installation still only took 4 days to complete. the south facing, 3.76kwp system is comprised of 16 sanyo hybrid 235w modules. the gorvett's are â€˜delighted' with the final results of their investment - so much so that they have already recommended the navitas team to their friends and neighbours who are now looking to enjoy the energy saving and financial benefits solar energy can bring to their households.
South east facing solar pv installation to large detached home in worksop, nottinghamshire this solar pv installation was completed in late may 2011 for our latest â€˜very happy' client, mr gladman, who lives with his wife and children in this large detached family home in the leafy suburbs of worksop in nottinghamshire. after extensive research, mr gladman started to look for suitable companies in or around his area. he found navitas solar via an internet search and subsequently made an enquiry. navitas were in touch within a day and arranged an appointment to meet him and complete a free survey. navitas were chosen for our knowledgeable, professional and genuine â€˜making financial sense of solar' approach. our technicians completed the south east facing installation to the roof of the gladman home in a day. the 3.29kwp system we specified consisted of 14 235w sanyo hybrid modules that produce an annual yield of close to 21% on average over 25 years and a payback period of just seven years.
Solar pv installation to double garage in chesterfield, derbyshire this is a solar pv installation navitas carried out in may 2011 to the roof of a double garage in chesterfield, north derbyshire. the enquiry came via recommendation from a previous customer. the south facing double garage was fitted with highly efficient 250 sanyo hybrid solar pv panels that were rail mounted to one side of the roof. in the first month the pv panels had generated just over 400 units of electricity - which to put it in to perspective is actually over the energy consumption the family used during that time. the customer was paid 43.3p for every unit of electricity they generated. this investment in solar energy will give the household an annual yield of just over 18% on average with a predicted payback period of seven and a half years.
