Solarguide contacted me quickly and efficiently, I have arranged 2 quotes so far which were both polite and professional. So far so good
"Converted to Solar Energy"
It will soon be 2 years since we had solar panels fitted to the garage. It is a minefield assessing all the company promises and prices. At times there was totally conflicting advice. Our research paid off and the company spoke our language, fitted the panels without fuss and started to generate. This has been a great boost to out energy plan.
We decided we want solar panels and went do the all familiar route with the rip off companies, (like when we purchased double glazing). I eventually called Solar Opportunities, from Garforth in Leeds, after finding them on Solar Guide, and from the initial phone call alone I was filled with confidence that I had found a great company. The install when well and we are now generating will quality materials fitted well, for half the cost of the rip off companies I first spoke to. We have a 3.5KW system installed using Solarworld panels. our generation as been as high as 3.6KW at one point so the panels are performing well.
"did what they said"
asked for a solar kit price and had 3 prices given, took one and am now awaiting fitment
"Quality not quantity"
Service second to none, all companies had all the necessary credibility to deal with in a friendly relaxed manner. No pressure. As in all cases someone wins and the others unfortunately lose Many thanks Contract negotiated Roddy macleod
"Every roof should have solar panels"
This is a 3 bedroom town house built in 1971, doubleglazed, insulated cavity walls and contains warm air heating system for winter. I have 4 Kwh panels on my roof and have generated 4950 Kwh in 16 months. I had 250 liter hot water tank installed at the same time along with Immersun which has provided 1420 Kwh of hot water so far. The elctricity taken from the grid so far amounts to1863 Kwh and gas consumption of 4700 Kwh. In March I purchesed a plug-in Prius which gets connected to solar electricity during the day. The car has traveled 4632 miles and has consumed 188 liters of petrol + 620 Kwh of electricity. My house hold energy costs amounted to £ 449 only. This proves cost effectiveness of solar energy.
"EXCELLET !! LOW BILLS NO FUSS"
HAVE HAD MY SOLAR PANELS FOR OVER A YEAR AND AM PLEASE WITH THE RESULTS - I HAVE JUST HAD A LETTER ASKING ME TO CONFIRM i HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING WHICH IS FINE. WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW HOW THEY ARE READING MY SURPLACE SOLA ENERGY? AND CONFIRM THAT I AM DOING OK
"all the invited companies were polite, timely and caring: everything one could wish for in a recommendation."
Well, after a few phone calls and emails we arranged a few evening visits. Each company came, having set our expectations well. All quotes were issued promptly, and any follow up questions responded to within reasonable time frames. I cannot fault either the service provider or the contacting companies, good job, well done.
"Getting money from the supplier."
I've found it very difficult getting paid by the supplier , in my case British Gas. I've sent the readings off, and as yet no reply or acknowledgement of receipt, all done by the magic of the internet of course, but I'm still rather frustrated that they have my money and are so tardy in forth coming with it.
"Solar Panels Electricity."
Ii is working well. My present Electric mater reading always does negative, So E.On need to replace my present meter.

they quickly made contact and arranged a surveyor to come around to assess what i could have fitted, He arrived on time and i did not feel pressurised into purchasing something i didn't want. I agreed a price with a proposed install date in the future that was agreeable with myself, i then had a change of future work and contacted them and they were able to change and install on a much sooner date. there fitters arrived at the expected time ensuring that they were there prior to the delivery of the equipment, it took approximately 5hrs for 16 panels and all the controls to be fitted.. Additionally they exchanged my old gas boiler for an Electrical system where the fitter remained late to get it fitted so that they didn't have to disrupt me for a second day. Professional team recommended, would use again if i need to enlarge the system that i have now fitted.
