| Cottesmore PV System |
Yew Tree House |
|
Here are a few photos from a recent PV system we installed in Cottesmore. The installation was carried out over only 2 days. Here's what MR.C had to say on completion of the system;
"I have just had a Photovoltaic system fitted by Eco Solar Potential. I am very pleased with the speed of completion. It was only a few weeks from the initial survey to completion and the work only took one and a half days. In the initial survey it was pointed out to me ways I could conserve electricity. After only a week I have produced 80 units for which I will be paid 41p per unit, which is very acceptable."

Yew Tree House was yet another slate roof that the team had to take great care when installing the system. This system consisted of 18 Shuco 215W panels powered by a SMA Sunny Boy 3800 inverter. Work was carried out over 3 days and the customers have already generated a respectable amount of green electricity.

The St. Laurence Parish Centre was an unusual project given that the roofing material used was an immitation of a slate tile. Just like slates themselves the immitation was very fragile and great care was taken throughout the installation. A combination of 18 Shuco 215W panels were used in the installation with the Direct Current being converted by a SMA Sunny Boy 3800 inverter.

Here is an example of a slate roof installation. Due to the nature and fragility of the slates a lot more care has to be taken when installing a photovoltaic system or performing any repairs. This system consists of 9 Shuco 215W panels and was installed over a two day period.

Kington Tin Roof |

This installation is an example of a clay tiled roof. The array consists of 14 Sharp 235W panels fixed on a series of roofs. An SMA Sunny Boy inverter and a smaller Mastervolt inverter are used to convert the generated direct current electricity into usable alternating current electricity.

Below is an example of a tin roof photovoltaic installation. The installation consisted of 18 Shuco 215W panels controlled via a SMA Sunny Boy 3800 inverter. The inverter was mounted inside the barn and was connected to an existing secondary distribution board which fed power to all of the farms out buildings and the customers home. This installation was carried out over a day and a half.

Composite Cement Tile PV Installation |

Here is an example of a common pan tiled roof photovoltaic installation carried out by our roofing team. This photovoltaic installation consisted of 12 Schuco 215W panels controlled via a SMA SunnyBoy 2500 inverter. The inverter was positioned safely and out of the way in the buildings loft area, however the customer was keen to monitor how is solar system was performing without having to get his loft ladder out. To solve this problem a Sunny Beam with Bluetooth wireless technology was included with the system. The Sunny Beam not only displays common values of the solar system such as the Wattage being produced in real time but it also plots graphs to show annual solar yields and also the income via government funded payment schemes such as the feed-in-tariffs. The wireless technology of the Sunny Beam allows the user to place it anywhere in the home, there's also no need to worry about changing the batteries, a small solar panel on the top of the monitor recharges the batteries during daylight. This installation was successfully completed in one and a half days and the customers are now benefiting from free electricity.

For this installation we used Romag's 235W panels, one of the largest output and most efficient panels there are on the market, maximising this customers possible solar yield. The panels were swiftly attached to the rails whilst the Inverters and isolators were fitted inside the customers loft. Our aim is for all of our customers to receive the best payback possible, to achieve this for this customer seventeen Romag panels were fitted over two roofs, a South facing and a West facing. 9 panels were fitted on the West facing roof and a further 8 panels on the South facing roof both being individually controlled by Sunny Boy 1700 inverters.
