Very helpful, prompt and reliable. Quotes similar to others, but only company to recommend using two roof aspects which seemed to us sensible. The two young fitters who actually did the work were particularly careful eg making sure the panels were not shadowed by the chimney on one roof and adapting the layout accordingly. So far the panels have yielded about £100 per month, which is on target as advised by the company

Very professional. Some negotiation following original quote. Everything happened as predicted and planned. Service was to a very high standard. If I was to make a minor, and I stress minor, observation I would have appreciated a little more contact prior to the installation date to confirm plans were on track. That said plans were absolutely on track. A very professional team that I would recommend to anybody considering the installation of PV panels.

The company were prompt with their contact, initial visit and providing an estimate. They were flexible in their approach, listened to the requirements and tailored the quote to meet them. The quote was the lowest by some margin for the exact specification. Technical survey was well done. The job was completed on the day promised. The work was well done, the fitters polite and helpful and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent job and I would recommend the company.

I am delighted with the performance of my East/West 3.5kW Installation. The company was very easy to work with, and all aspects of the contract were completed expeditiously and with the minimum of fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending this small company.

I was impressed with the straight forward presentation without hard sell, the quick response to queries and that everything was done on time. The installation took just 6 hours, site left tidy and help given to complete FITS application form. Follow up call some two hors later to check that I was happy with the installation. One always gets somewhat anxious when spending large sums of money and you hear stories regarding cowboy installers, no such worries here - extremely satisfied.

I was pleasantly surprised as I thought the 3.75 kw system might look intrusive overlooking the road on a terrace property with a relatively small roof. In fact it looks extremely neat and gives the property a hi-tech appearance. 1st Light Energy gave the best quote using state-of-the-art components and did a first class job. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a 2.35Kw system installed, and so far we're very pleased with the results. 1st Light were quick to come and quote, and were the cheapest of the three companies we contacted. Installation was very neat with minimal mess and disruption.

We could perhaps have spent more time with them discussing the layout of panels and optimum system size.

We're seeing some very nice performance in the spring sunshine with the system generating up to 15kwh per day on our south facing roof

We accepted the quote as it was the most competitive, flexible and used top grade German components. Ours was for a flat roof installation which are notorious for difficulties and indeed there was an issue with the install as we were not happy with the aesthetics. However, the installers returned and re-arranged the configuration without argument.

Overall, very impressed with the install and the equipment used but would suggest a closer customer liaison with panel placement as it could save on return visits.

I had not considered using a firm not based in my local area but was impressed by the way they surveyed and costed the job. As this was for photovoltataic as well as solar I would like to have seen a separate costing breakdown.
Also I consider that it would be helpful for future customers to be advised on completion of the work of the details needed to complete the forms for the power supply company as the forms ask for information we did not know where to find!
Apart from that all was fine, thankyou.

1st Light were much cheaper than anyone else yet used the best materials and were quick, efficient, clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them again myself in the future.

The Inverter developed a fault & was replaced with a new unit from Germany, this was delayed because SMA did not give the full postal address. The installer worked hard to get the project back on track. So far things are looking good & we hope to see positive returns shortly.

Arrived on time and did the work in a quick and professional manner. The price quoted was the best by far.
