    Confused of Corby

I have recently had PV panels fitted. They should theoretically produce 2.28 KW. My question is, when I put the washing machine or the dishwasher on during the day my readout says that I am in energy debt by about 2 KW, also the weather has been overcast for most of the past month so should I put my large energy consuming machines on in the early morning (about 05:00 am) on Economy 7. My house faces south-east and I do get sunshine earlier than my south facing neighbours, so the "Holy Grail" is sunshine & Economy 7 at the same time in the early morning, but this doesn't happen often.

Most of my daily background energy is covered by the panels on standard rate so what do you all think would be the best way to go.

I have an Eco-Eye PV readout meter, which gives quite a detailed breakdown of usage so maybe over time I will work out the best strategy.
    All Help appreciated, Jim.

first of all find your peak times which it seems you have done.

I try to us all my excess energy so I make sure we use appliances one at a time from 11am onwards (south facing)
I use a standard energy meter and solar edge monitoring and compare the two to see if I am producing more than I am using ! I even started vacing up if Im not using all I am producing ...

    who needs a wife!!!
