Grants to install renewable heating technologies

Hi,

Could someone explain to me if there are any grants available to help me install a biomass boiler in my home? I've been reading up about the Renewable Heat Incentive and a work colleague told me about something called the Renewable Heat Premium Payment.

Is this some sort of grant? If someone could shed some light on the subject that would be great.

Yes there are grants available for the installation of biomass and you are correct it is called the Eenewable Heat Premium Payment, this is a one off payment which is available but certain criteria needs to be met.

The product and the installation needs to be MCS approved
